Right my prom is on the 29th June 2010 and well i'm looking for a seriously DIFFERENT way of transport.. no limo,flame engines, helicopter, horse and carriage or hummers it needs to be for either 4/5 people and well i'm looking for a car that shaped like an animal e.g a cow "LOL" or food e.g a hot dog or something stupid and silly like that.. I'm going to hire a limo for my birthday, however the average town car limo is only an 8 seater. I'm thinking of hiring a 10 seater hummer instead so i can have a couple more people but i'm wondering will this be a lot more expensive? I am hiring a limo for my sixth-form leavers "prom", the company has asked for a deposit, which I am fine giving in advance but they have asked for the full amount to be paid up to two weeks before the date we have booked the limo for. I was wondering if this is normal for a company to ask this? I was below the impression that for a service you would pay a deposit and then on the night you would pay the remaining balance? Like half now half later. I would like some advice on what to do! Whether I should ask if I can pay on the night or have some sort of contract as I don't want to be screwed over. Thanks a lot. We have every the money for it, and I am willing to show them it saying that we do have it but I don't want to be screwed over if we give them the money now and they don't turn up or something?

Voting Question: How can i make my birthday the best day and night of the year?

Resolved Question: Should I get a body guard in Manila?

I'm going to Manila for about a month to visit some friends I met while they were on exchange here in the U.S. I've been told by a few Americans a bodyguard in Manila would be a good idea, especially because I will be on my possess at times. I was also planning on hiring a limo to pick me up from the airport (I imagine after flying around the world... I'll be too sleepy to deal with haggling cab drivers and carting my luggage around). I don't want to insult them by suggesting where they live is dangerous (they live every over Manila, but I'll mostly be staying in Malabon City). Also, it seems like limos are reserved for very special occasions in the Philippines. I want my trip to be as safe and relaxing possible... without insulting my hosts (I really don't mind what random people on the road think however). Suggestions? By the way. I'm very western looking. Voting Question: Birthday Party Ideas?! 14 Year Old?!?

Hi everyone! Its my birthday in a month so im starting to plan my birthday party, however im really struggling! Here are a few ideas i have arrive up with so far (There will be boys and girls and a sleepover, but only the girls are staying the night) Horror Themed Party Limo Party (Hiring a limo) Slumber Party Fairy Park Party (There is a fairy park about an hour away from here) Night Cruiser Party (Not so sure about this one, its really expensive and im not sure i like it.) So yeah... No matter what kinda party it is i will be having friends stay the night. But im just not sure. I like horror, and i like limo's haha. Im not fussed on the fairy park, but it might be fun..... Resolved Question: Guys and Girls? Would this be a fun Sweet 16?

I am absolutely, positively, crazily obsessed with Gossip Girl. And it's a pretty scary obsession. So, of course, the theme for my 16th birthday that magically popped into my head was none other than a Gossip Girl night on the town theme. I have 2 different ideas for this theme though. 1 involves a big boy-girl party, and the other a smaller, more extravagant (and remote) every girls party (with maybe a couple of guys) 1. This is the big party. I was talking to my parents and we could rent out a place and decorate it like an NYC night scene. Like, decorate the walls to look like lit up sky scrapers and stuff. And then we'd hire a DJ and pay my cousin 100 bucks for the night to play bar tender and serve fruity non-alcoholic drinks. I'd also have everyone dress as a character. The invitation would say something like "Spotted: Everyone having a blast at Savannah's 16th birthday at the Island Hotel in Newport..." etc. etc. There would probably be about 50 people, and I'd make it formal. I feel a little short ended on this one though, cuz I'm not quite sure where to go from there, as far as activities and stuff. I don't just want it to be dancing the whole night, because I know from experience that that can receive awfully boring awfully quick. 2. This would be the smaller party. I'd invite about 8-10 of my closest friends and have the same thing, where they dress up like one of the characters. Then, we'd receive in a limo and go somewhere fun (I live in SoCal, right in between LA and San Diego, so it's not a far steer to go to a big city). Then, throughout the night, someone would be dubbed "the gossip girl" and text everyone gossip throughout the night from my mom's phone. My mom would be texting what to say to the Gossip Girl throughout the night, though, so they'll never receive stuck. But I'm also a little short ended here, because I don't know what else to do! The only thing I can arrive up with is to play truth or dare like they did at Blair's party (for guys that don't know, this involves lesbo kissing, downing shots, etc.) and steer around town doing the stuff. I had ideas like "invite a hot guy into the limo with us" or "try to receive into a strip club." Haha. Just ideas... So yay/nay? Whaddya think? The 1st idea, the 2nd idea? Or should I nix the whole thing altogether? My mom also thought of doing an Amazing Race party and we go to San Diego. Please let me know what you think! Advice from both sexes is appreciated!! Resolved Question: Alternate ways to get to the airport besides a personal ride? HELP PLEASE!!!?

I need to take a trip in a couple of months and I need to receive to the airport somehow. I cannot steer because I don't have a car. Most of my friends cannot take me that particular week because it's close Thanksgiving, when everyone is going out of town. Family wise, it's a secret trip so my family cannot know except my mom but she does not steer. I don't want to take a cab because it's expensive as heck. Shuttle seems really inconvenient and expensive as I heard as well. Don't even suggest craiglist and hire someone to take me for 20 bucks because I quite frankly do not want to be kidnapped. I'm just cautious like that. What are some alternate and cheap ways I can go to the airport for $30 or less? Any reliable and cheap cab or limo companies I can take? I want to go in a limo (not hummer or pink though!) and the only problem is that there's only 5 of us as the relax decided to receive something else sorted >_> every the limos seem to be really expensive and, whilst I'll be able to pay my share, some of my friends are a bit strapped for cash. Voting Question: What are the chances a rich guy would pay someone $300 to drive them 4 hours including gas in a beat up van?

So my pal told me she met a guy that paid her $300 to pick him up at a train station and steer him 2 hours away to New York and then back. It was $300 including gas. She said he was like a millionaire and could afford to pay that no problem. I think, what millionaire would ride in a beat up 1996 van for 2 hours each way. I wouldn't, if i could afford $300 I'd take a plane or train or hire a limo, not a beat up van. So am I being difficult on her or is this something that could really happen without any other motives? She already did it, and she is alive and he wants her to steer him again. Her response to my questions was he just wants to have fun and arrive to Manhattan for a weekend and he needs someone to steer him. I thought she would be appreciative of this but I never got a thank you, not one. every my mom did was complain about the weather in Hong Kong. She also asked my why I chose business class and not first as well as why a Cartier watch as opposed to a Patek. I adore my mom, always have and always will. But isn't this borderline greedy?

Hiya x How Much Roughly would it cost for me 2 have a Hummer limo for 8 or do any of you know any limo places have smaller hummer limos i don't want it 2 be expensive say about £100-£110 Any websites can you tell me or any jeep limos it doesn't really matter i want the driver 2 pick my pal up at her home in waunarywldd and him 2 pick me up at my home in fforestfach and then take us for a ride for about 30 mins maybe 1 hour i don't want a hanging 1 i want a quite nice 1 but cheap because its only me and my mate and we are payin halfers and if its like £ 150 £ 200 its gonna cost loads for us 2 pay coz prom costs enough as it is ! Resolved Question: When is it appropriate to hire a limo?

My friends and I are going out to lunch and 1 of them decided we should hire a limo. I didn't think it was a good idea because: 1- we are not exactly 'wealthy' and we are every just middle class 2- it's only lunch and we are going to be in simple jeans 3- we live in a tiny town and people would think we are just showing off I know I might be over dramatizing but what is your opinion?

Does anyone know where i can hire a limo for a cheap price? Hi, i've been looking through endless websites to hire a limo for my birthday coming in 6 months time for roughly about 10 people (if possible more) for around £100-£200. The websites i have been on give no prices whatsoever and mostly every just offer quotes and ask for you to phone them which is really time wasting.
